About Us

The Wahoo swim team has built a community program filled with energetic, friendly and fun-loving 4-18 year old swimmers, supportive local families, and hard-working, caring coaches.

Our home pool is in the Grandview The Glen subdivision.  The team started competing in the ASA swim league in 2009 (www.atlantaswimming.com) and competes against other North Gwinnett/Forsyth swim teams. Our 5 meet season is followed by Divisionals and Championship Finals. The final meet is traditionally held at the Georgia Tech Olympic Pool.

 Our Mission

The Grandview Wahoos mission is to create opportunities for the children of this community to enjoy the sport of swimming.  We believe that through this process, children learn lifelong skills that enable them to be happy, healthy, successful, and productive individuals.  This is a recreational league and the emphasis is on learning and having fun in a safe environment.

The 2026 Swim Team Board Is:

  • President - Julie Freeman
  • Treasurer - Sarah Peterson
  • Concessions - Lindi Gertson
  • Volunteer Coordinator - Amy Klein
  • Website Maintenance/Spirit Wear - Tiffany Nelson
  • Computer Operator - Ethan DeGeorge

Our season runs from mid-May through June. We usually practice Monday through Thursday with Fun Fridays and participate in one meet a week on Thursday evenings.  Sometimes our team will host the meet at the Grandview Pool and sometimes we will travel to other subdivisions to swim. The swim team is a great way to get to know your neighbors in Grandview The Glen and surrounding neighborhoods.
